HOMEOPATHY is a system of complementary medicine based on the principle of like cures like. In regular use for over two hundred years, this safe and effective system of medicine works equally as well in animals as it does in people. Of all the species, horses often respond exceptionally well. With the careful selection of the right remedy, homeopathy will often succeed where conventional or allopathic medicine has failed. It can work where conventional treatment carries risks or even where there are no suitable conventional solutions.

As widespread interest in alternative therapies continues to grow amongst horse owners in general, this unique book will provide a practical and systematic insight into this effective and fascinating branch of alternative medicine.

Practising veterinary homeopath Tim Couzens’ clear descriptions of a wide range of equine ailments and their accompanying suggested remedies will enable treatment to be tailored specifically to the individual, and thus ensure the best chance of success.

The book also includes:

  • a brief history of homeopathy
  • an explanation of the principles
  • how to select a remedy, potency and timing
  • care and storage of remedies
  • and an equine Materia Medica of unprecedented detail.
