'Training a dog is time-consuming and it is easy to make mistakes. There plenty of manuals to help, but few that take such a logical and straightforward approach as The Total Dog Manual, subtitled: Meet, train and care for your new best friend. Written by David Meyer, Abbie Moore and Dr Pia Salk, it sets out to tackle all the issues of dog ownership through a pet’s life in numbered subject headings from No 1 (find a friend for life) to No 267 (share your grief) and No 268 (find a new friend).
